My Inner Vision, represents a moment in the unfolding of my inner perception. Since childhood, I saw this sphere **every night** as I entered an **alpha state**. For years, I asked others whether they experienced something similar, but no one seemed to perceive what I was seeing. Everything changed...

Contact us.Born in Buenos Aires and based between Buenos Aires and London, Mimi Rimonda is a visual artist whose work is deeply influenced by her artistic heritage, Italian roots, and a vivid inner world that has accompanied her since childhood.
Her love for painting began at an early age, sharing with her father — a descendant of a family of artists from Turin — a fascination for the great masters. At the same time, she began experiencing recurring inner visions: in states of deep introspection, she would perceive a green sphere surrounded by red stars through what she describes as her “inner vision.” These mental landscapes became an early and enduring source of her artistic universe.
These inner visions also gave rise to a profound connection with the cosmos — a perceptual and imaginative space that she inhabits much of the time and that continues to nourish her creative process. The cosmos, energy, spheres, light, and unseen dimensions of reality have consequently become recurring elements within her visual language.
Years later, Mimi Rimonda discovered the work of Yayoi Kusama and was deeply struck by certain visual resonances between their imagery. Until then, she had been unaware of Kusama’s work, making the parallel particularly meaningful to her: two artists, from different cultures and continents, independently giving visual form to inner perceptions through recurring shapes, colors, and cosmic imagery.
The desire to make her own mental landscapes visible was one of the fundamental reasons Mimi Rimonda pursued a formal education in art. She felt the need to professionally master the visual language, techniques, and tools that would allow her to translate what existed in her mind into tangible works of art.
Her early training gave her a strong foundation in figurative art, drawing, portraiture, landscape, and watercolor. From this technical foundation, Mimi Rimonda progressively developed a more personal language, moving beyond the representation of the visible world toward abstraction, symbolism, perception, and the exploration of her inner universe.
Since 1989, Mimi Rimonda has studied with renowned Argentine masters including María Pla (drawing and painting), Washington Riviere (portraiture), Ernesto Pesce (figure and watercolor), Alicia Bofi and Marcos Borio (landscape), and Cristina Coroleu (Sumi-e and Oriental watercolor techniques). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires.
