About The Artwork
Find this original at Bryand Gallery 20 Front Street, Wilmington, NC. This Southern residential painting provides the soft home feel of a Southern garden, a summertime back yard, in the suburbs of Tennessee, the Carolina's or Georgia. The flowers, yellows, greens and blues each could claim their garden for this soft abstract painting. The piece provide a rich comfortable feel for its viewers. It brings the mind to a homie happy place and elicits calm relaxed feelings. The medium was the inspiration for this painting. Experiencing the soft thick texture of the paints, encouraged large markings and scrapings using cement tools. The final results remain soft and one of my favorite pieces. This original painting has been placed in a hand made natural wood frame. The block feel of this presentation give it a strong solid base for its wall or desk top display. As a print this abstract will continue to perform and I am pleased to be able to present it for reproduction purposes in homes, or commercial spaces. PATTY DONOGHUE ART My art tends to be bright, happy, colorful, impressionistic, abstract or semi-abstract paintings. I study a theme and have the most comfort using a loose free style in my art. As a child, I dreamed of being an artist and as a teenager my art became a therapeutic outlet that allowed my continued optimistic focus and success, during extreme trying times, relocation and family separations. To me, painting, and creating has a therapeutic value. This strong belief, led to a successful career as an Occupational Therapist and healthcare administrator. Today my full focus is on what has always been in my soul, and I lead a full time art business career. I teach painting as a stress, therapeutic, tool.
