I am conjuring a joyous color and energy. This painting is inspired by the Indian Festival of Colors. I've used a fiery mix of coral, peach and orange tones to give warmth. Electric blues and turquoise to draw the eye, and tangled colorful loops to contribute to a feeling of spontaneous joy. Added d...

I paint to map the terrain of the mind’s mess in full color. Grids for order, lines for freedom. It might heal you, it might confuse you, but either way, it should make you intrigued.
My work is acrylic and oil on canvas. It features free-flowing gestures and deliberate grid-like lines, holding the tension between chaos and order.
I came to art late after walking more than a few bumpy ways that have carved me into someone new.
My inspiration comes from consciousness itself, from unpredictable architecture of thought, from lived experience, the constant push and pull, and life’s ups and downs, crushes and recoveries. Now I work to transform those experiences into color and form. My palette is unapologetically vibrant, a refusal to mute life’s complexity while embracing it and studying. I am fearless and persistent, transforming my memories into paintings, each canvas is a bruise turned radiant and vivid, a collision of instinct and intent. I am trying to evoke meditations on the human mind through psychological powers of line and color, and to offer my viewers a sense of tranquility and inner healing.
My work is to prove that I am still here, and for my audience - to carry on even in a different skin.
Biography
Leszek M Slawek is a Polish-born American entrepreneur- turned -artist,whose vibrant, expressive work explores the resonance of color and line,as well as the chaos of emotions.
Born in Lublin, Poland in 1958 Slawek came of age during a politically volatile era.As an anti-communist he was forced to flee Poland in 1985 and was granted political asylum in the United States ,becoming an American in 1990. He spent the next 25 years living and working in New York and Connecticut, raising a family while building a successful entrepreneurial career. He graduated from The Morse School of Business in Hartford,Connecticut in 1992.
Throughout his life, art remained a quiet but persistent presence. He began painting in oil in 1991,creating works for family and friends drawn by a lifelong passion for visual expression.
In 2010 Slawek returned to Lublin and gradually shifted his focus from business to art. By 2015, he fully embraced his identity as a self-taught emerging artist, bringing decades of lived experience to his creative practice. His art is influenced and shaped by his interests in psychology, sociology, and Fauvist painters.
