Splash Painting

My work is inspired by the brilliant natural world, in this case the sea. Witnessing the shimmering light on the water on sunny day at the beach brings a feeling of happiness and calm. My intention is that the viewer can picture themselves in the setting with a smell of sea breeze rustling over their skin. The image brings up memories and delights of spending time by the sea as a child. The medium is oil paint with resin which allows me to pull and manipulate the paint across the canvas with a shaper brush and create the feel of the energy of the waves.
