This original botanical watercolor captures the vibrant elegance of spring tulips. Using a delicate multi-layered glazing technique, I aimed to convey the transparency of the petals and the soft, atmospheric light surrounding them. Contact us.I have always believed that flowers speak a language of their own — one of grace, resilience, and silent beauty. Living in the picturesque landscapes of Bavaria, I find myself constantly captivated by the tiny miracles in my garden and the wild meadows around me.
For me, painting is more than just a technique; it is a way to hold onto a fleeting moment. I am fascinated by how sunlight filters through a delicate petal, changing its color from a soft whisper to a vibrant glow. My goal is to capture that very warmth, that 'inner light' that makes a flower feel alive.
To achieve this, I work with the traditional method of multi-layered glazing. It requires immense patience — applying thin, transparent washes of watercolor and waiting for each one to dry before adding the next. This slow, meditative process allows me to build a depth and richness that mirrors the complexity of life itself.
When you look at my paintings, I hope you feel a sense of peace. I want to invite you into a world where time slows down, where you can breathe in the deep violet of an Iris or feel the sun-drenched layers of a Rose. My art is a tribute to the soul of nature, created to bring a touch of eternal spring into your home
