Claes Oldenburg's work, known for transforming everyday objects into large-scale sculptures, inspires a sense of playfulness and interaction with the ordinary. In my piece, I wanted to evoke a similar curiosity by juxtaposing an old painting with sculptural elements. The choice of painting as the me...

Contact us.My work is a reflection of the spaces I’ve inhabited and the experiences I’ve gathered along the way. Raised in Big Cabin, a small town in rural Oklahoma, my early exposure to the world was limited but full of contradiction: vast open skies and tight-knit communities, isolation paired with a deep sense of belonging. From those humble beginnings, I’ve traveled across the world, each new place offering its own language of visual cues, rhythms, and textures. These experiences, rural, urban, and everything in between, are the foundation of my artistic practice.
In my work, I blend illustrative and abstract techniques to navigate the complex landscapes of memory, identity, and perception. Graffiti’s raw energy, music’s rhythmic pulse, and the fluidity of architecture and design serve as my primary influences. Each element brings something unique to the table: graffiti, with its defiance and immediacy; music, with its ability to transcend the physical world and tap into emotion; architecture, with its structural elegance and the way it shapes our experience of space; and design, with its obsession with balance, form, and function. My process is intuitive, often starting with a series of marks or shapes that feel personal but open-ended. As I layer and deconstruct these elements, I allow the work to evolve, shifting between representation and abstraction. The result is a dialogue between the controlled and the chaotic, the familiar and the unknown. It’s in this tension that I find freedom, the space where my past and present, my rural roots and urban influences, can exist in harmony.
Ultimately, I aim to create work that resonates on both a visual and emotional level. I want my pieces to be as much about the feeling of a place or moment as they are about the visual structure. Whether I’m working with vivid color, bold lines, or fragmented forms, my goal is to capture the complexity of human experience and communicate it in a way that feels immediate, visceral, and real.
