About The Artwork
I have sailed all my life so when it comes to painting often boats, and primarily sailing boats, turn up in my pictures. In this painting I have tried to evoke the power of the see and the excitement of sailing through a rough sea on a windy day. Spray flying everywhere whilst the sails billow pushing the ship through the ocean on its journey at full speed. I nearly always paint in Oil on canvas, this painting is no exception, I love the feel and the way colours can be forged together as you paint
