About The Artwork
Here we see a beautiful small park in the quiet center of Riga. It was the end of the hottest summer in 10 years. Nature was burnt under the rays of the merciless sun. It's only September, but everything around is already painted in a soft gold and brown palette. The work was painted in the middle of the day, the sun was high. It's still warm, but there is no longer such a strong heat. Around this park there are many old wooden houses, one or two stories high. Here people live, play sports, walk with children, with dogs, relax with a book or with friends after work. The artwork is painted in oil, pasty strokes. Painted in bright juicy colors. It can be classified as impressionistic or expressionist styles. Oil on canvas on carton, 2018. Is repainted. Soon will be new photos. And it will be availiable for saling again.

Searching for my own path in painting took me a certain time. It has passed nine years since my first attempts to paint. However, during last several years I have started feeling self-assured, as my works reached desired level of skilfulness and artistic approach, and I really started liking them. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists’ ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke. Now I look into the future with greater confidence, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!
