Many people enjoy loneliness because it is believed to lead to creativity, self-realization, and is fully suited to personal development. Loneliness is often associated with spirituality. But for me, loneliness is, first of all, a feeling of emptiness and deaf silence. It is a dehydrated desert, cracked from lack of water. Loneliness leads to pain, grief, fear, exhaustion. Loneliness does not allow living and interferes with creativity and self-realization, in contrast to solitude. But the worst of all is loneliness among people. A lonely person dies from the fact that there is no one to love him, there is no one to even listen to him. In this world, it is important to be heard, to be loved, and to feel that you are not alone. This is what my new painting is about. This painting was presented at Contemporary Venice 2021, Itsliquid International Art Fair in Venice, Italy. 'eMotions. Loneliness', oil on linen canvas, 120x80cm. Eleonora Taranova was born in 1971, in Ukraine. Fleeing the war, she appeared in Denmark where she is based now. As a child, Eleonora lived in a house with animals and observed their behavior. She learned to portray the emotions and movements of pets on her own since there was no art school in the town. After working as a teacher at a higher school for over 20 years, she quit her job for health reasons and took up painting as a hobby. Now she works as a full-time artist. As the main topic of her art, she has chosen animals for the last 13 years. Inspired by the rock carvings' coloristic and the works of Rembrandt, Francis Bacon, Mikhail Vrubel, Franz Mark, Eleonora tries to bring the idea of empathy and respect to a living being.
