Thoth—Djehuty in the oldest texts—is less a “god” in the narrow sense and more a structural principle of consciousness. In Egyptian cosmology, he arrives at the moment when the raw, uncarved chaos begins to differentiate. If Atum is the first stirring of being, and Ptah is creation through intention...

I am a child of the 80s. Growing up in an isolated, rural town meant turning to comic books, Dungeons & Dragons, and video games to fill the void. What I lacked, I invented. That spirit of invention drives my work today—not as mere artwork but as an act of worldbuilding. I have imagined a forgotten chapter of ancient history, chronicling the culture and practices of a secretive cult that emerged in pre-dynastic Egypt. This nomadic desert tribe chose not to conquer but to conceal itself, weaving its hidden influence through the pre-Christian era. Though erased from history, their echoes remain—buried in artifacts, symbols, and whispered myths. This fictitious world is intricate and interconnected, guarded by cryptic symbols, recurring motifs, and strange alphabets. It demands curiosity and dedication to unravel its mysteries. My ideal audience relishes the challenge of ‘cracking the code’—following clues, forming theories, and collaborating to piece together its secrets. For those willing to explore deeper, the work reveals Easter eggs, plot twists, and an open invitation to help complete the story. Through vivid depictions of mythologies, ritual magic, and otherworldly beings, my prints and etchings resemble papyrus scrolls unearthed from the sands, their pages decayed. They echo a lost age, where crude and abstracted deities of chaos and void replace the idealized sun-worshipping pharaohs. At its core, this project explores human nature. By imagining a civilization that never existed, I reflect on how ecology, politics, and the struggle for resources shape identity and belief systems. It is an interactive contemplation of culture, faith, and the shadows they cast.
