As a child I collected stones, in fact I still do; and with the same respect and the same passion with which a child treasures his most precious assets is that I make my sculptures. In fact, this is not the only thing I recognize from my childhood in my work. During my childhood I always had concerns like Where do we come from? Where is the universe? etc. Fundamental philosophical and existentialist questions that we have all asked ourselves sometime in life I suppose. In my particular experience, quantum physics has been the closest to answering these questions, and my work reflects that. My sculptures are visualizations derived from quantum physics theories, chaos theories, astrophysics, etc. combined with a little of my imagination and interpretation. I consider myself a very visual person and with my work I seek to give that perspective to such complex issues in order to understand them better and, if possible, help others see them as I do. As Michelangelo once well said, "there is no idea that cannot be expressed in marble."
