Contact us.Vik Shpetna is a visual artist based in Portugal. Working primarily in fiber art and sculptural textile forms, she explores the relationship between material, memory, and place through tactile, handcrafted works.
With a background in interior and product design, as well as journalism and editorial work focused on architecture and design, Vik brings a strong sensitivity to structure, texture, and visual storytelling into her artistic practice. Since 2019, she has been developing a body of work that combines traditional craft techniques with a contemporary sculptural approach, using materials such as wool, seagrass, jute, recycled textiles, and ceramics.
Her work is deeply inspired by nature, landscape, architecture, and cultural heritage. Since relocating to Portugal in 2022, she has continued to expand her practice through the influence of local craftsmanship, natural environments, and the experience of rebuilding a sense of place through making.
Across her work, Vik creates pieces that move between art object, textile, and sculpture, inviting viewers into a world of texture, emotional resonance, and material storytelling.
