This artwork, as in many abstracts, René Cheng wanted to play with colors to create a balance and harmony. Like all abstracts, it does not represent something special, the title suggests what the artist felt or saw in it: Cocoon. But beyond representing something, the importance is in the combination and vibration of the colors. René Cheng is a Mexican bicultural artist with German and Chinese ancestry living in Mexico and Europe. Themes in his artwork: time, beauty and nature. His artistic skills and creativity range many artistic movements from abstracts to hyperrealism using foremost oil paint. His keen eye and skilled hands depict color and light harmoniously on the canvas.
