"Red II" Painting

I'm Tania Os, and I also work under the pseudonym Herstein. My curiosity and versatility are reflected in my artistic practice. I enjoy exploring different techniques, materials and subjects, although nature - especially flowers - remains my favourite theme. I also love geometric abstraction. Nature has always been a great source of inspiration for me, although I rarely portray it in a literal way. Through geometric abstraction, I explore the relationship between colour and form, experimenting with different shapes and bold colour combinations. Creating is a constant source of passion, joy and play for me. When I paint, I feel like a child in a playground, fascinated by every possibility and unable to choose just one. I am deeply interested in art therapy and in the way colours and forms influence our emotions and well-being. I strive to create paintings that carry positive energy - works that encourage calm, uplift the spirit or bring a sense of balance. “She paints botanical imagery and floral elements that remind us of the flamboyant linearism of Art Nouveau (…) and the formal stylization and synthetic colourism typical of computer graphic designers.
