ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have always been inspired by great artists like Andy Warhol, impressionists and enjoy working with colours. But my paintings are very unique. This painting depicts a starlit night sky. However, I depicted perspective with the arrangement of buttons and the dashes with white. Around 2012-13,I started working with buttons and needle and thread. I brought texture into my painting using these materials. the base is acrylic .this is the second painting in this series.

Born in karaikudi, Tamilnadu, India and educated in Delhi and chennai .Interested in fine arts from childhood. My works have always dealt with people, their problems and the environment. While earlier my works dealt only with my immediate surroundings, now it is more global and address universal issues.I have been inspired by Andy warhol .I am also inspired by Barbara Hepworth who had triplets and worked ceaselessly.
