When Spring Breaks Through Painting

Colette’s work is strongly influenced by texture and colour within the natural landscape from which she draws her inspiration. Her work is an exploration of the changes in light and mood that each season brings. Her artworks are sold to private collectors in the UK as well as internationally, her work has been described as: beautiful, exquisite with a wonderful use of texture and colour. Working in acrylics she applies many layers of colour and texture with a palette knife, capturing the stunning beauty of nature within her work. . As an Artist I feel an intense desire to recreate spirit of nature I want my work reflects its incredible intricacy and beauty. I would describe my artwork as impressionist, organic, and sometimes abstract, the use of texture is essential in my work it adds a three dimensional quality and which gives the painting life.
