ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this artwork I sought to capture the peace that a person can feel when they accept themselves as they are, when they accept their physical appearance and as a result radiate a special beauty. I started from a drawing on paper, and pasted it on a wooden base. On this I painted with oil and encaustic (wax and resin medium). I really like to use encaustic, especially when I paint portraits and bodies, as it gives a warmer and more organic feeling. This painting comes ready to hang.
