Torrin Pools Photograph - Limited Edition of 20

Born in Zaandam, raised in Opperdoes, a small village in West-Friesland. After graduating as a computer scientist at Twente University, I became a self-taught visual artist, musician, and writer. Making images has become a continuous thing over the past decade, whether drawing, collage, video, or photography. Artists that have inspired me are, amongst others, Barbara Kruger, Ed Ruscha, Jeff Wall, Hannah Starkey, and David Hockney, William Eggleston, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, and Quentin Tarantino. With my photographic work, I aim to open images to new interpretations by the viewer by removing context, suggesting context, and adding connotations to scenes and pictures. More on
