Monika Matsumoto is a contemporary artist whose work bridges the boundaries between memory, materiality, and sustainability. Monika artistic career began in the UK in 2001. She has a diverse background in the arts, encompassing heritage architectural restoration, fashion, and set design. Her experience varies from working as an architectural restorer at heritage sites across Poland and the UK to designing prototypes and working on projects for scenic and design studios in London. Notable collaborations include artists and institutions such as Alexander McQueen, the Royal Opera House, Martin Margiela, Liberty, Selfridges London.

This diverse experience significantly influences her artwork, which integrates textiles, painting, photography, and classical fine arts techniques with technology, including fiber optics, lenticular printing, and digital media. Her understanding and experience with mixed media make her a unique and compelling artist to explore.
