Contact us.I was born in 1967 in Viña del Mar, Chile, the "garden city" by the sea. I studied at the School of Architecture and Design of the UCV, where I graduated at the top of my class, and I was fortunate to spend ten years alongside the painter Francisco Méndez Labbe, my mentor. For two decades I taught art, architecture and design as a university professor.
Working with Méndez, I helped create the Open-Air Museum of Valparaíso, where I later served as director and curator of its murals. In 1997 the late Shimon Peres inaugurated my eight-storey mural honoring Yitzhak Rabin. From 2000 to 2002 I served as Regional Minister of Culture (Seremi) for Chile's Central Zone, overseeing 36 municipalities.
My work is held in private collections, including those of former Chilean presidents Ricardo Lagos, Michelle Bachelet and the late Sebastián Piñera, and of the late poet Nicanor Parra.
In 2021 I received an A' Design Award in Milan, Italy, for OSMoMA (Open Sky Museum of Modern Art), my project in Tel Aviv that transforms buildings through painting.
My painting lives between two worlds. A divided horizon marks the boundary between them; for me, the Fibonacci golden ratio and the studies of Da Vinci are the precise measure of the soul, a sacred geometry. My palette draws on the Zohar: red for the desire to receive, white for the desire to share, and green for the effort to transform one into the other. My aim is for the viewer to become immersed in the work and to sense the invisible line that unites both worlds.
I have always worked along two paths: free creation, and art conceived to enhance a particular space, building or client.
Today, based in Israel, the ancestral garden of my people, and recognized by the State of Israel as a particularly distinguished artist, I study the Wisdom of Connection, creating in pursuit of a single, pristine form of expression.
