ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The photographic images in Transitioning are of beaded objects I saw in the flea market. I was interested in creating a dialogue with open and closed spaces and starting with one color at the top of the dress and transitioning to another color at the bottom of the dress. I was also mixing thread colors to add another layer to the experience. This piece is part of my sculptural dress series and is light weight with strings hanging freely.
