Sculptural &Architectural Mixed Media Artist
Artist Statement
My practice explores the threshold between matter and spirit through sculptural paintings that embed natural stone within layered pigment and plaster. Inspired by the depth of Hilma af Klint and Anselm Kiefer, and the philosophical inquiries of Rudolf Steiner and Carl Jung, my work seeks to achieve a "silence of the mind." Fragments of marble, travertine, and basalt become vessels of memory, revealing invisible geometries that order existence. Emerging from a personal transformation—transitioning from the stone industry to fine art—my works question cycles of life, death, and transcendence. By fusing CNC-precision with hand-sculpted textures, I create sustainable, architectural art of timeless value.
Critical Acclaim
"A distinctive ability to fuse painting, sculpture, and philosophical depth into a unified artistic language... a practice with a recognizable identity." — Elisa Pritzker (Pritzker Studio &Gallery)
"Fusion of stone and paint sets her apart in contemporary mixed-media art." — Lou-Ann Albiol Ducos (Almine Rech Gallery)
"Innovative approach... both painting and sculpture. Diana demonstrates a great ability to merge shapes, colors, and materials into complex harmonious compositions." — Séverine Crancée Hattu (Galeries Bartoux)
