Gravity helps to reset surface waves. Because the interfacial movement between water and air is opposed by gravity. If a layer of water is formed according to the density, gravity also opposes the interface with a constant density. This restorative mechanism creates turbulence or movement within the water and propels the wave forward. This disturbance is called internal gravitational wave or boundary wave. Depending on the density, the density increases uniformly at the place where the water layer is formed and depending on the depth.
