Contact us.Tim Wheel is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist working across painting and ceramics. Based in Bali, he is part of a vibrant international creative community where cultural diversity, nature, and freedom of expression shape his artistic practice.
Tim’s work explores the relationship between intuition, material, and process. Whether working with paint or clay, he approaches each piece without a fixed outcome, allowing movement, rhythm, and the present moment to guide the final form. His philosophy, “take it easy,” reflects a deep trust in spontaneity, imperfection, and organic transformation.
Alongside his ceramic practice, Tim creates expressive paintings that emphasize gesture, layering, and emotional presence. His paintings are driven by movement and inner states, often influenced by the natural environment and cultural energy of Bali. Through color, texture, and flow, Tim’s painted works explore balance between control and freedom, inviting the viewer into a direct, intuitive experience.
In his ceramic practice, Tim creates sculptural vessels using experimental firing techniques, including Raku and high-temperature processes. Fire becomes an active collaborator, producing unrepeatable surfaces, metallic effects, and raw textures. Each ceramic work exists as a singular object — the result of a dialogue between artist, material, and flame.
Living and creating within an international Bali-based art community, Tim Wheel’s practice is shaped by collaboration, travel, and cultural exchange. His work invites the viewer to slow down and experience art as a space of connection — between cultures, elements, and the inner world.
