ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A yearly ritual of mine consists in sitting before a magnolia tree of my neighbourhood and painting it in a new way. This past year I revisited several trees in full bloom and translated their spirit to the canvas directly. It has flashes of silver , white, acryl, gesso and strong pink which are of a new kind of paint I bought myself this year with even stronger pigment. The finishing touch is a wax stamp designed by me and my logo for my paintings .This detail gives it an Asian feel and atmosphere as the colours also beautifully strengthen each other.
