I seek harmony in my interpersonal relationships. The sense of harmony gives me a feeling of well-being and peace. For me a harmonious relationship is life-changing and mutually nurturing. Embracing my roots and my cultural background through having a special spiritual connection to the women I depict on my canvases. The theme of women, womanhood and femininity is at the core spiritual connection to the women I depict on my canvases. This painting is all about the depth of a human connection. This work features a special bond between female figures: this bond is much stronger than friendship. Simple basic human values such as trust, honesty, sincerity and mutual support and understanding were transcribed in this artpiece. These women were inspired by reality and by real-life situations. Here I was guided by the exploration of non-symbolic language and by finding the meaning in it. My theme of exploration was the potency of emotional transparency aiming at embracing emotional intimacy in relationships. I feel I managed to catch the perspective of a real true friendship. This artwork is done with mixed media: oil paints, oil pastels and acrylic paints on a professional stretched cotton canvas. The painting is sold unframed. It is ready to hang. You will be able to hang it upon delivery. Or you can frame it according to your taste and interior. The photos of the artwork in the interior are for your inspiration. Natalya is a contemporary artist from Lyon, France. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes and low mountains. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis when she was struggling with radical life changes. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. Several years ago painting became more than a hobby. It became a way of expressing her emotions and visions, a successive reaction to events of either personal or general concern. Her artist statement: “ I paint as it’s a necessity for my soul to express itself. Being creative for me is overcoming the restrictions. My art is a piece of my soul. I hope my art inspires reflection, provides a release and forms connection at other people’s souls”. She has developed her own vision of art through practicing a lot. She makes use of varying degrees of semi-abstract, impressionism, brut art and naive art by adding a contemporary twist. Painting for her is an interesting challenge for understanding inner feelings, a self-expression based on an intuitive approach. She uses various mediums but mainly acrylic and oil to create her unique artworks either on canvas or on paper. She works very quickly and expressively by finishing her artwork in one sitting. If Natalya had to pick one quote about her art, she would say : " Art is the reflection of the soul". Her big sources of inspirations are Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, George-Daniel de Monfreid, Paul Gauguin and undeniably Vincent Van Gogh.
