It is painted with only two contrasting and luxurious colors, gold and black. The gold is smooth and shiny. The black is really opaque black. I have used a paint which absorb almost 100% of visible light. It has different texture. It looks a little bit dusty. The black shape in upper right corner has a texture reminding of a vinyl. Everyone has a rich inner emotional world. Everyone is at the center of their own story, with their own heroes and villains, plot twists, struggles and successes. Social psychologist Fritz Heider in 1946 explained that a balance must exist between interpersonal relationships, or for something specific between two or more individuals, so that psychological harmony can be achieved. Imbalanced structures are associated with uncomfortable feelings, and this is what leads people to seek to achieve balance. In this painting I wanted to present the moment of change, moment of transition. In a contrast to other paintings from the cycle 'Study of emotion' element in this artwork switched their places and roles. The gold is not smooth and shiny. It does not stay in rectangle shape. The black is not dynamic.

The artistic journey of Marta Obojska is a complex intertwining of her passions and experiences, meticulously woven into a tapestry of unique expression. Informed by the multifaceted symphony of her senses— the melodies she hears, the vistas she absorbs, the scents she encounters, the literature that engrosses her— Obojska crafts an alluring medley of colours, shapes, and textures. The artist seeks to distil this intricate sensory orchestra into a singular, accessible image. In most of her artworks she is using only two or three colours, playing with texture, gloss and matt. Her work mirrors aspects of the natural world and human nature, expertly leaving room for interpretation and ambiguity. The artist’s vision extends an invitation to the viewer to contribute to the completion of her work. Her academic pursuits led her towards psychology and a life away from birthplace of Warsaw, Poland. As Obojska approached a decade of working with acrylic paints, a choice inspired by years spent in the United Kingdom, is periodically displayed at prestigious venues such as the Windsor Art Fair, Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, and the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea, London. Local galleries and art magazines also frequently feature her work. Currently you can find her residing in a picturesque island of Mallorca. She believes that Art represents a critical ingredient in the recipe for human survival. It serves as a wellspring of joy, inspiration, and wellness.
