The Roman Forum captured in the dramatic stillness of overcast light — a moment when the absence of colour strips away the centuries and reveals the pure geometry of ancient stone. Contact us.Hermes Gray is a fine art photographer based in Rome, Italy, working at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and the quiet life of urban spaces.
His practice is built on a single obsession: what light does to stone, and what time does to both. Each photograph is the result of patient observation — waiting for the precise moment when geometry and atmosphere align, when a façade becomes sculpture, when a landscape holds its breath.
The work spans three bodies: Architecture, exploring the formal language of built space from Roman ruins to anonymous urban walls; Landscape, capturing the stillness of natural environments across Italy; and Life, documenting the unguarded moments that happen in between.
The work is particularly suited to hospitality, corporate, and luxury residential spaces — environments where presence and restraint matter equally. Custom sizes are available up to 150×200 cm for large-format installations.
Every image is produced as a limited edition fine art print on Hahnemühle archival paper — numbered, certified, made to last.
