I, Natalia Valter, am a conceptual sculptor and artist, born and raised in a small mining town in Siberia, Russia, now living in Bulgaria. In 2018, I lost sight in one eye due to a tumor, and from that moment, my artistic journey began. My art is deeply connected to the philosophy of “I feel life through my hands.” It is an integral part of my essence—a manifestation of love for life and all living things through touch. This gift was passed down to me by my blind grandmother, and I continue her legacy in my work, conveying the idea of continuity and the interconnectedness of all living things through love, while exploring themes of heritage and biophilia. Through materials, I embody the connection between the past, present, and future, as well as the continuity of life and love. I believe that art, like a touch, carries life and love, uniting humanity and nature, past and future, creating a space for harmony and endless existence.
