Artist and curator Ariel Adkins works at the intersection of wearable art, public sculpture, and community centered creative projects. Through her platform Artfully Awear, she uses clothing as a catalyst for storytelling and has collaborated with museums from MoMA to the Guggenheim to reimagine how audiences connect with art. Her practice spans hand-painted garments, immersive installations, and socially engaged collaborations that embrace color, joy, and the transformative power of participation.
In this curation for Saatchi Art, Ariel gravitated toward artists who explore how wearables, textiles, and bodily adornments can express identity and narrative. The selected works share a sense of play, presence, and thoughtful craftsmanship, celebrating the many ways clothing can become both intimate and alive.
