A composition of 64 small drawings, collages, pastels, inks and coloured photocopies of tarot cards (tarot of Marseille). I was born in the early sixties and spent my youth in Bordeaux, France. I have been working as a visual artist since 1986. I'm actually living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My practice unfolds through long-term series developed over more than four decades. My work is rooted in sustained artistic research, drawing from symbolic systems, natural cycles, history, and material processes. Each series functions as a field of investigation, shaped by time, repetition, and transformation. Central to my work is the search for balance between research and beauty. Rather than treating aesthetics as a result, I approache beauty as a necessary stabilising force — one that allows complexity, vulnerability, and thought to remain visually present. Painting becomes both inquiry and contemplation. My work carries a quiet spiritual dimension, grounded not in narrative or belief, but in attention: to rhythm, material, and the relationship between structure and intuition. Through this balance, my paintings invite slow looking and sustained engagement.
