Shaking pulse Collage

23 years ago, as I moved into the factory workshop, I found these educational posters from the Hungarian socialist era orphaned on the walls or scattered around, and I decided to collect and store them. It came to mind as a formal possibility due to the processing of my accident traumas, as they convey in raw, objective language, which allows me to distance myself from the personalizing nature of self-trauma. The completed collages are remixes of blended, synthesized educational posters. On the other hand, the visual elements from which I build the processing are reboots, since I depict (quote) the motif one by one. What made this kind of iconography talkable to me was also its comic book-likeness, which could be imagined as filling a gap in Hungary and the other countries of the Eastern Bloc as well. This kind of visual language, willy-nilly, may have been deeply burned into the visual memory of a couple of generations, like a permanent workplace educational comic book display that is hard to replace.
