Egypt Green known as Egít Le Atíse(Egypt The Artist) is a multidisciplinary artist of Haitian descent whose practice explores memory, identity, healing, ancestral consciousness, and the relationship between the inner and outer self . She explores this through different disciplines such as painting, fashion, music, photography and writing; using her self made platform EgítCreationism to be a living container to hold her multidimensionality, healing, and creativity. Through painting and mixed-media work, Egít transforms personal experiences, emotions, symbols, and cultural memory into visual archives—creating pieces that function not only as images, but as records of lived experience and evolving consciousness.
The practice is rooted in the belief that art can hold what language cannot. Layers of paint, texture, material, symbolism, color, and mark-making are used to represent the complexity of cosmic memory and the ways the human experience accumulates within creating the self and then exaimining the self through creation to interpret life. Rather than treating a finished artwork as a static object, Egít approaches each piece as a living archive: something capable of preserving a feeling, moment, realization, or internal transformation.
A significant part of the practice centers on sacred memory work—examining how personal memory can intersect with ancestral memory, cosmic intelligence, spirituality, cultural identity, and contemporary life. The work often moves between abstraction and recognizable imagery, allowing meaning to remain fluid and personal to the experiencer and the witnesser rather than prescribing a single interpretation.
Egít’s mixed-media works particularly manifests from the combination of visualizations, imagination, dreams and innovation of what already exist to conceptualize and build works of art that reflect these accumulations that can be translated in 3D reality. Ideas come in gestation periods and bursts of creative pressure accumulated over time from lived experiences. As if the soul's way of metabolizing what it is transconfigurating and alchemizing internally and externalizing from events that change the shape of its consciousness; asking for a form of documentation of the phenonmenon through creating. It is the immortification of ones own existence.
