About The Artwork

This piece has a lot of textural qualities with the use of trims, embroidery, ribbon and other fabric. At the time my studio was in the Garment District in NYC which had a strong influence on my works. I was also using the paper doll collage (childhood memories) and the combination seem to go well. A number of handmade papers were added and some torn away for an interesting effect. The small girls seem to all have their own space within a vast one.
