Julie Martin is a contemporary artist living in Northeast Ohio drawn to portraiture and figurative subjects depicting mystery, emotion. "I take the rearranged slices printed or digital, and create from that as reference. I do not paint, then cut up the canvas." "I’m inspired by the way the slices come together and are transformed into a new visual painted by my imagination.” With a defined fragmented style, she’s created something compelling that is her own.
