About The Artwork

“NIXON’S MATH EXAM” Well if you have seen some of my ARTTTT you must realise I am a BIT different. That's O K so they say???? My greatest joy is my family (and fishing). So the other day when my grandson Nixon was telling me that he had a Math Exam coming up and he was not sure how he was going to go. Well the grandfather talk went on the lines of "just do the best you can". He did look a little concerned about the outcome of the exam which gave me the idea to play with this painting. He is a fantastic 14 year old, caring, considerate, and catches some VERY LARGE fish with his POP. And he is a much better kid than this painting portrays. Bye the way he achieved 80% in that Math Exam. A very proud POP.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured plaster bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
