"The Inner Glow" Painting

Anna Meyster is a Ukrainian-born contemporary artist based in Miami, whose figurative paintings explore nostalgia, memory, play, and the connection between childhood and adult identity.
Anna began painting at an early age in Kyiv, where she studied drawing and painting in local art studios. She later earned a Master of Arts from King’s College London and continued her art education at the Modern Art Research Institute of Ukraine. Before establishing her professional art practice, her career took an unconventional path through media and international marketing, including several years as a television host at MTV Ukraine and later as a marketing director.
After moving to Miami in 2022, Anna returned to art full-time and established Anna Meyster Art. Her multidisciplinary professional background and experience living across several countries continue to influence a practice shaped by contemporary culture, personal memory, fashion, and the visual language of everyday life.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Anna is recognized for her bold use of color, contemporary figurative compositions, and playful symbolic imagery. Her work often transforms familiar objects and childhood icons into visual narratives that explore the tension between the freedom and imagination of childhood and the structures of adult life.
This idea is central to her ongoing TOYS series, in which teddy bears, rubber ducks, and other recognizable objects become characters within distinctly adult worlds. Through humor, nostalgia, and unexpected visual contrasts, Meyster creates works that are immediately accessible while leaving space for personal association and interpretation.
Her work has been presented at galleries, exhibitions, and art fairs in the United States and has entered private collections internationally. Through her evolving practice, Anna continues to develop a visual world that invites viewers to reconnect with curiosity, imagination, and the freedom to play.
