This painting represents how I felt energetically on the day we climbed the steepest rock face of the entire trip. Part of this trip goes through US territory the border being the summit where you can see the Canadian flag flying on top of the rangers' hut. It was a glorious clear day and I was so elated to make it safely AND there was still snow drifts and glaciers. Exuberance is what I felt! I channelled and added aquamarine and blue calcite to increase the healing and resonance of this painting. Aquamarine helps to calm while adding to our clarity and our tolerance. Blue calcite calms the mind and the emotions. I also used some small pieces of aluminium foil because I love how it fractures the reflective light. The impasto, which I apply with a palette knife, always adds so much movement and depth. This painting communicates strength, success, accomplishment and pure joy. Because it is the blue that resonates with the throat chakra,It will help to shift your life through communication.

Candace studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Angers, France but, it is her explorations in the deserts of Africa and Oman, Antarctica and the Arctic that serve as her true place of learning. As an abstract painter her goal is to raise the vibration of consciousness through art. By transmuting the energy of emotions into her colour field paintings, their resonance helps shift viewers’ lives. Candace combines healing energetics, based in ancient indigenous knowledge and now claimed as ”modern physics” such as absolute scalar waves, gamma waves/consciousness, still point technology and the healing power of colour; crystals, the ancient Hindu ayurvedic energetic system,and associated chakras. These modalities work in conjunction with subtle energies,whether universal, galactic, celestial, or quantum. Having explored and sought out remote environments for much of Candace’s life has allowed for deep inner exploration and expansion, birthing paintings created with intention and consciousness that affect body, mind and spirit. Candace is collected widely in Canada and internationally both corporately and privately.
