My name is Olga Kot. I am a surrealist artist.
I was born in Russia and live in Spain. I work in painting and performance art. I have taken part in exhibitions in Russia and in Spain.
I explore the boundaries between the visible and the invisible — that which happens within us but has no conventional representation.
Through my art, I seek an answer to the question: what happens to a person when they begin to truly see?
And in exploring this, I create my own system of symbols, where the main character is the eye. ‘My eyes’ come to life on the canvas, soar in the sky, grow amongst the leaves, and become a distinct lens and a metaphor for reality.
