"Clockwork Souls" captures a hauntingly beautiful moment where humanity and time intersect. Set against the grand, iconic clockface of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, the silhouettes of visitors are frozen in contemplation—each figure a story in motion, now paused. As an Art Director, I have over 20 years of experience working with photography, advanced compositions, and image editing. I’m a fine art photographer based in Kungsbacka, Sweden, passionate about traveling to major cities around the world to capture the fleeting moments, mostly of urban life. Through my lens, I bring ordinary scenes into fine art compositions, driven by a love for storytelling and composition. I mostly photograph in black and white to create a more abstract feel and to spark the imagination of the viewer. Black and white photography also enhances forms, light, and shadow into stronger, timeless compositions. I have a great fondness for the analog expression, but nowadays I mostly shoot digitally. For me, capturing candid moments is essential as I delve into the unconscious emotions that link us to our cities—and to ourselves. The images and stories I capture truly come to life when I let the world unfold naturally, rather than trying to control it. I follow my intuition, guided by an inner pull that leads me down new streets, toward new faces and unexpected photography opportunities. But the stories I capture? They’ve always been within me. In this way, my photographs are self-portraits. Photographers who have had a significant impact on my artistic process include: Ray K Metzker for his graphic and powerful expressions, Lee Friedlander for his advanced urban compositions, and Gunnar Smoliansky for his ability to create masterful compositions in everyday and trivial environments. ”In large measure, becoming an artist consists of learning to accept yourself, which makes your work personal, and in following your own voice, which makes your work distinctive.” — David Bayles and Ted Orland"
