I've been immersed in linocut printing for the past couple of years, and I love the creative process behind each print, starting from cutting the linoleum block to the final paper impression. Alisa is a self-taught Ukrainian artist living in Spain. She finds inspiration in nature and the tactile world: in shapes, textures, and the beauty of simple, everyday materials. In recent years, Alisa has developed a deep passion for collage and mixed media. She often works with vintage papers and creates her own materials using acrylics, gouache, pastels, spray paint, and gel prints. This intuitive process allows her to stay closely connected to texture, layering, and the physical qualities of the materials, while the imperfections of aged and painted papers add depth and character to her work. Alongside collage, she has a deep love for painting, embroidery, and traditional media. Recently, thread has become an important part of her artistic practice. She often incorporates hand stitching, knots, and embroidery into her works, combining textile techniques with paper, paint, and collage. The repetitive process of stitching is slow and meditative, allowing her to build texture, rhythm, and subtle sculptural dimension within the surface. She truly loves what she does, and it becomes even more meaningful when others connect with her work, especially when it brings inspiration, makes someone smile, or finds a special place in their space.
