This is one of a series of four monoprints I did back in 2002 entitled "Focus I-IV". This technique still comes and goes within the years and there is so much to experiment. Here I used big laid rice paper and earth tones for the different and cohesive patterns and shapes.

ART - Current Subjects / Themes
1. Film Stills
The use of computer-generated imagery initially inspired the development of large-scale paintings based on visual templates. My current work draws on film stills, fragments, and press photographs sourced from newspapers, books, and cinema.
The conceptual focus lies in examining violence and catastrophe by translating these moments into a new aesthetic context. Scenes of horror and fear are reinterpreted through a visual language that blends disturbance with fascination.
