Sculi is a French contemporary sculptor whose work explores the relationships between form, color, and light.
At first glance, his sculpture may appear abstract. However, it is not abstraction for its own sake. Instead, Sculi seeks to give visible and tangible existence to what, by nature, has no fixed form: feelings, energy, emotional states, tensions, and inner movements.
He gives form to abstraction.
Matter then becomes a language. Volumes assemble, confront, or balance one another; colors alter perception; light passes through, reveals, or transforms the sculpture depending on space and viewpoint.
Thus, the work is never solely made of matter. It emerges from the encounter between form, color, and light.
From this research arises Cosmomorphism, an artistic approach developed by Sculi.
Within Cosmomorphism, sculpture is not conceived as a fixed form, but as a set of interacting forces. A color can extend a volume, a light can reveal another, a shadow can generate a new form. Depending on the viewing angle, light intensity, or environment, the work transforms and reveals different perceptions.
This continuous transformation is an integral part of the sculpture itself.
Through his works, Sculi seeks to make the invisible perceptible: to give a body to an emotion, a volume to an energy, a color to a state of mind, a presence to what previously existed only as feeling.
His sculptures stand at the boundary between the material and the immaterial, the visible and the invisible, the real and the imaginary.
Cosmomorphism emerges from this assembly of form, color, and light, brought together to create a new reality.
To give form to abstraction.
To make the invisible visible.
