Born December 15th, 1944 in Felixdorf, Austria. Lived in Vienna until 1964, then moved to Stockholm, Sweden until 1968, subsequently emigrated to Canada in 1969, living in Calgary and moving to Lethbridge, Alberta the following year.Initially influenced by Surrealism, I later followed the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. I am listed in the Who's Who Section under Honorary Art Patrons of the Society for Art of Imagination. In January 2009, I founded the Private Visionary Art Network. Some of the worlds leading Surrealist, Fantastic Realist and Visionary Artists are members. I returned to Vienna, Austria in 2011. My former studio was at the Palais Palffy in Vienna where my studio neighbor was Prof. Ernst Fuchs, since 2015 my studio is at the Kunstquartier Wien in Meidling Some of my art is in the collection of the Province of Alberta, Canada and also the Nickle Arts Museum, University of Calgary, Calgary Alberta. Details about this are listed on my website, see below how to find it. According to the latest Saatchi Policy, I cannot list my website in my profile. Well, easy - just Google my name OTTO RAPP - ARTIST and you will find my artists website, as well as the one for Pixels/Fine Art America where prints of my work are sold. You will also find other websites that feature me and my work, as well as blogs and videos. All this would not be necessary if I could just give you the one link to my website, which has all the relevant information about me and my art. You will also find out who my agents are and whom to contact for purchasing my art. Please note: I do not directly sell my art and I do not answer to inquiries to my email or telephone calls. Everything is handled by my agent, which currently is Anni Fuchs at the Ernst Fuchs Museum in Vienna.
