At the starting point of my work, my research was concerned with the space of sensations: understanding what is at stake between sensitivity emotion, feeling, senses, the body.
A first axis of creation was a research into consciousness and particularly the concept of finiteness, which took shape under the headings "Dead body" and "Still Life".
Another axis incorporates interiority and is entitled "Inside Outside". I question the boundaries, the boundaries between self and other, inside and outside. This is the body that I examined, feeling, mind.
Sense of emotion and conscience lead me to expression by pictorial language in the moment: the here and now. To the expression of emotions are addes forms taken from the signs: feeling and mental processes are thus incorporated.
I propose color, saturation as constituent elements of painting, expression of feeling. Rhythm and touch express emotion.
In 2005, Rémi Delaplace discovered the work of John Maeda at the Fondation Cartier
and that of Michal Rovner at the Jeu de Paume. This led him to attend lectures at Le
Cube and those of Bernard Blistène at the École du Louvre, sparking his interest in
behavioral and interactive art. He studied at Paris 8 University, graduating in 2011 with a
master's degree in Contemporary Art and New Media, writing his thesis on Perception in
Art. He explored the roles of the spectator and the artist, as well as the various modes of
creation.
His encounter with Nadia Vadori Gauthier introduced him to contact improvisation and
dance.
His dance practice with Matthieu Gaudeau explored his relationship to space and modes
of creation through the lens of attention. Improvised singing complements his work on
creative movement.
He exhibits regularly in galleries (Circé, Akie Arichi, Exit...), art libraries (Persan
Beaumont, St Cloud), art fairs (Lineart in Belgium, Mac Paris, Réalités Nouvelles, YIA...),
art centers (Pontault Combault, St Grégoire, L'Atelier...), in China (Guoyi Art Museum in
Beijing, International Art Exchange of Museums in Hangzhou), and in Spain (Zaragoza
Congress Center).
