My name is Nikolett Bajgar, a 33-year-old emerging Hungarian painter. My work does not aim to depict happiness—it explores depth and emotion. My goal is to provoke thought and evoke feelings in those who encounter my art.
I identify with the dark art style. You won’t find cheerful colors or scenic landscapes in my work—there’s already plenty of that. I’m not a painter who creates mere decorative pieces; I focus on themes that challenge perception and stir the imagination. I am particularly drawn to religious and ancient motifs, as well as the realms of mysticism, mythological stories and the occult. I believe the world is more than what we perceive, and I strive to express these ideas on canvas.
I work primarily with acrylics, often incorporating various textures and pastes to give my paintings a distinctive, tactile quality. My pieces can complement homes, tattoo studios, or barber shops, and I also gladly accept custom commissions.
