ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have always been a huge fan of Vincent Van Gogh's beautiful paintings. So I was inspired to replicate one of his famous self portraits. But I wanted to amp up the color and give it a more Pop Art kind of a twist. this painting is large with the frame it is 50" x 50", so it really has am impressive impact when its viewed in a room. I also embellished the background with small pieces of Mylar and light blue Swarovski crystals in Vincent's eyes to give the piece an extra element of color flash. Then the whole painting was coated in several coats of clear resin, which really made the colors pop!
