Summer Roses Painting

This painting is done in an expressive, abstract style, but you can immediately see the connection with flowers. The background is very smooth in mostly beige and gray, while the flowers are in bright white, yellow and some gray with a thick application of paint. An elegant balance is created with which the active movements and lines give the painting its meaning. Great effects were achieved here with just a few colors. Several layers of oil paint were used with a large brush and spatula. The artist's goal was to create something alive that evokes reactions and feelings in the viewer.
