We have always been drawn to very strong, minimal graphic design inspired images. It's been our direction through all of our work. We are known for our zen-like, organic images of the little things in nature (leaves, stones,etc.). This is a variation on that theme... clean lines defining spaces, with color used as an accent. All of our work is about the viewer connecting and letting their thoughts go where they may. This image is part of a series that could make a nice grouping. We are a photographic team but we don't approach our work from the expected photographic point of view. Our influences come from the other mediums.... the painters and designers. One of our biggest influences is the abstract expressionist, Franz Kline, his bold black brush strokes with a little hit of color... so here is our little hit of color... the yellow marble and it's implied motion. The dimensions listed are the physical print size. The image size is 20"W x 30"H. The image is centered on the 24"W x 34"H paper leaving a 2" border around all four sides of the image. A Certificate of Authenticity is enclosed. The print is signed and numbered in the lower border...print ships in a tube.

We have been a professional team collaborating as set designer and photographer, for almost 50 years. Through our studio in Kansas City, we were fortunate to have worked on top national advertising accounts specializing in food and still life illustration for over 35 years. We were honored to have received some of the highest awards in the country for our work including: The New York Art Directors Club Exhibitions, American Advertising Federation Addy Awards, Clio Award For Print, Communication Arts Magazine: Photography, Design and Advertising Annuals, Magazine Publishers Association (NY) Steven E. Kelly Award Finalist and Kansas City Art Directors Club Gold Awards. About 15 years ago we decided it was time to pursue our own personal point of view. We wanted to make images that we loved and hoped other people would connect with also. Our work is about conveying a sense of peace and quietness, (a zen-like feel), through simple, balanced design portraying the beauty in the little things in nature and the ordinary objects that are all around us. The studio allows us the total control necessary to accomplish what we're after. It has been gratifying to see the result. Our work has found homes internationally from healthcare and corporate to residential collections. Photography... never a hobby, always a passion.
