ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A small nondescript frame edges this piece so no need to frame. Hanging hardware included, ready to hang. This piece is made using found and repurposed materials. This composition is informal in a geometric form which relates to the pieces complementing one another. Using both mechanical and adhesives to apply these pieces makes this a very sturdy piece. I applied several layers of paint then scraped away these layers to reveal colors beneath, then used thin washes to build-up weathering and accentuating weathering already done by human or natural elements. The natural decay of weathering, as well as the mechanical weathering from repetitive scraping by mechanical influences by machinery or human use, intrigues me to the textural interest these objects poses.

Father was a Western fur trader reenactor and black powder enthusiast participating in numerous reenactments and Rendezvous throughout Keith’s childhood.
